About the artist
Dr. Ashwini Vishwanath Patil is a gynaecologist and IVF specialist practising in Pune. Painting began as a counterweight to clinic hours — a way to work with colour and instinct after a day spent in precision and protocol.
Her canvases favour the palette knife: thick ridges of paint built up in layers, mountain light, wildflower fields and city dusk rendered in bold, unblended colour. Each piece is worked in oil, in small batches, between clinic days.
